Multi-device Suites

Purpose

Use this form to manage suites containing members who are:

Alternatively, use the Suites form to manage suites containing members who are programmed as Full Service or Trusted Service users.

IMPORTANT: Because Multi-device DNs in Multi-device user groups and suites cannot be called directly, emergency services personnel will be unable to place emergency callbacks to them. Follow the configuration and operational guidelines below to minimize the possibility of a mishandled emergency call:

Multi-device Suite Pilot Number

Enter the Suite Pilot number for the suite you want to create or edit.

NOTE: For sites that use a Property Management System, ensure that directory numbers, including pilot numbers, are seven or fewer digits in length. MiVoice Business does not validate numbers for correct length.

System-generated, protected field. Indicates the name corresponding to the Suite Pilot number, as entered in the Telephone Directory form.

Enter some meaningful text to describe the Suite Pilot number.

Member of this Linked Suite

System-generated, protected field. Indicates the Linked Suite Pilot number that this suite is a member of.

 

Suite Members

 

Member

System-generated protected field. A number indicating the order in which the suite member was added to the suite. The first extension listed is the Primary Suite Extension.

 

Directory Number

Enter a Suite Extension programmed with a Multi-Device Service Level belonging to the Member Suite.

NOTE: A Hot Desk user DN cannot be configured as a Suite Extension.

Call Delivery Type

Enter the desired call delivery behavior. Call delivery behavior is specified independently for each Suite Extension. Call delivery types include:

  • Immediate: Calls to the Suite Pilot number are delivered immediately to the Suite Extension.

  • None: Applies to Suite Extensions reserved for special use, such as a fax machine or a modem line; therefore, calls are not delivered to these extensions unless the calls are dialed directly.

Message Waiting

Enter "Yes" or "No" to enable or disable message waiting notification.

NOTE: At least one Suite Extension must have the Call Delivery Type programmed as Immediate, and Message waiting enabled; otherwise, the Primary Suite Extension is used.
